The trailer of one of the most awaited movies of the year, X-Men: Apocalypse is out. This movie is the closing movie of the X-Men prequel series. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the plot but has got us totally excited.
The trailer starts with a hopeful Charles Xavier saying that the human and the mutants are finally living together peacefully, but a not so optimistic Raven replies with her theory that the most peaceful moment usually is the dawn of a storm. The screen changes and we are introduced to the antagonist of the movie Apocalypse, who has been resurrected and is considered a god. He has surrounded himself with four powerful Mutant followers. One of them is antihero of the previous movies, Magneto aka Erik. The trailer also promises a look at Erik’s past life. And obviously, it wouldn’t be an X-Men movie without at least one “Bromantic” scene between Charles and Erik. From the previous movie of the series “X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ we have already guessed Quicksilver has some connection with Erik. It is revealed in the trailer, he is the son of Erik.
The trailer shows lots of destruction, immense power Apocalypse possesses and a glimpse of Wolverine’s claws.
The cast: James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/ Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, Jenifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Hank/Beast, Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver. The new additions are Oscar Issac as Apocalypse and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. Hopefully, we will have a guest appearance of Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine.
The movie is all set to release in May but for now we have to do with the trailer.
