Smoothie Challenge

The shaadi season has just gone by, and (don’t lie) your intake of sweets, sugars, spices, oils and alcohol has sky rocketed. Take this 5 Day smoothie detox challenge, before heading back to work or college and see the compliments roll your way!

Hookedupon Tip: For maximum results, make sure all your ingredients as fresh as possible and your blend the smoothie just before drinking it. In addition, make yourself some detox water to pair with your smoothie detox and drink it through the challenge and after that too. 

#Day 1

Red Smoothie: 
Strawberries, tomato, beetroot, cinnamon, camu powder, chia seeds, coconut water and whey protein.

#Day 2 

Orange Smoothie:
Carrots, oranges, papaya, coconut water, cinnamon, chia seeds and whey protein.

#Day 3 

Yellow Smoothie:
Yellow cherry tomatoes, yellow squash, pineapple, coconut water, chia seeds, turmeric and whey protein.

#Day 4 

Green Smoothie:
Kale, spinach, parsley, pineapple, avocado, ginger, lucuma, coconut water and whey protein.

#Day 5

Purple Smoothie:
Blueberries, blackberries, yellow squash, chia seeds, coconut water and whey protein.

Recipe for detox water:

This great detox water not only rids your body of toxins but helps to flush fat from your body as well. Cucumbers are diuretics can help you to avoid water retention. Lemons and limes help to flush out toxins from your digestive tract and grapefruits help you to burn fat. Just add 2 litres of water, ½ of a medium grapefruit (sliced), ½ a cucumber (sliced), ½ each of a sliced lemon and lime and a couple of mint leaves. Allow the ingredients to sit in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving and drink at least 2 litres per day for optimal results.
