Please note: You could either make smoothie with only milk or do 50:50 milk and yogurt. If you are lactose intolerant then you could replace regular cow’s milk with soy or almond milk. All the smoothie recipes mentioned below serves 2 glasses.

1 ripe mango

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup yogurt

8-10 ice cubes

1 tbsp honey (optional)

Blend the ingredients together and serve chilled.

Pineapple is one of those fruits that I am too lazy to cut at home and I am not a big fan of canned pineapples. Pineapple is rich in vitamin c and is an extremely healthy fruit to consume.


1 cup fresh-cut pineapple or canned pineapple

1/2 cup yogurt

1 cup milk

1/2 banana

8-10 ice cubes

Blend the ingredients well. You could replace plain yogurt with vanilla yogurt. In case you are out of yogurt then substitute it with milk.

#5 Watermelon Mint Smoothie

Another refreshing fruit smoothie recipe, watermelon mint smoothie recipe is easy to make at home. Watermelon is a zero-calorie food that contains 90% water so there are no side effects of having too much watermelon. Watermelon smoothie is refreshing and keeps you cool during the harsh summers.


2 cups watermelon (cut)

1/2 cup yogurt

1 cup milk

2-3 fresh mint leaves

6-8 ice cubes

2 oranges (peeled)

1/2 cup milk

1 tbsp sugar or honey

1 tsp fresh ginger minced (optional)

Blend all the ingredients in your blender for few seconds. If the consistency is too thick then add milk or cubes. If you feel the smoothie is on the bitter side then add 1 tbsp sugar more.

#8 Apple-Kiwi Smoothie

Apple-Kiwi smoothie is one of the healthiest smoothies. Apple and kiwi are rich in vitamin c and anti-oxidants. For the recipe you could either use a red or green apple.


1 red or green apple – cut

1 kiwi

1/3 cup apple juice

2/3 cup yogurt or milk

Combine all 4 ingredients together and blend well. To make the smoothie more smoother you may also add banana. If you are out of apple then replace apple with banana or strawberries.

1 banana

1/2-1 cup coconut milk

1 cup peaches

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup yogurt

Pinch of nutmeg powder

Pinch of cinnamon powder

Pinch of fresh ginger – minced

Blend peaches and yogurt together. Slowly add milk and blend till you get the consistency you like. Add the spices and give a final blend.

1 cup seedless grapes

1 tbsp peanut butter

1/2 cup yogurt

1/2 cup milk

1 banana

8-10 ice cubes

Blend peanut butter and yogurt in a blender. Add grapes and banana to the blender and continue blending. Finally add milk and blend till smooth.
