There was a time when PVR Anupam Complex used to be a live place. After the end of single movie cinema halls era, the place just died. The shops closed and soon it became a place where only dust rolled around. But there is one thing that has not changed over the years. If you are a bookworm like me, then PVR Saket Complex has the best second-hand book stalls. Name the book and you will find it here. On my recent book expedition trips, I have started to notice that place has become more lively. Some really good eateries and coffee shops have opened. One such good eatery I had a chance to satisfy my craving taste buds was Locale Bar & Cafe. Locale offers multi-cuisine food at reasonable price. It is well known for its biryani which served with extremely hot curry, achaari soya chaap tikka and ferrero rocher milkshake. The interiors of the cafe are well-designed and walls have eye catching paintings and wall art.
The staff is well-dressed, courteous and ready to help. If you like your food to be served hot and are sucker for big portions, then the cafe is for you. I went there with my friends and we had an opportunity try different items from the menu. We tried fresh lime soda, kandha pav, bhutte ke kebab, mutton galouti with ulta paratha, dal tadka and paneer tikka pizza.
While I liked everything; I would definitely recommend everyone to try kandha pav. The place is a must-visit.
There are more bar and cafes for me to explore at Saket Community Centre. But the way the place has been booking; I am pretty sure the place will soon be in competition with SDA complex. The area is quite close to Saket Metro Station and if you are in car, then there is paid parking available.
