Rajasthan, also known as the land of kings, has a very crazy history behind its pages. A princely state with extravagant forts and palaces makes it one of the most beautiful in the country.

Bhangarh Fort, famous for its haunted stories is a palace built by Man Singh I. Situated in the Aravalli range of hills in the Alwar District of Rajasthan; the fort is about 235 kms from the country capital, Delhi. There are many stories that are hidden behind the closed gates of this old fort.

It is said that this fort was obliterated in one night, and since then the fort is a house for spirits.

How can someone’s beauty become a disaster and ruin a palace so beautiful? Is this true?

People living around the palace tell stories of Princess Ratnavati and her mesmerizing beauty that inclined Singhia (a tantrik) towards her. Singhia was smitten by the beauty of the princess and wanted to marry her, because of which he had one day used black magic in the oil that princess’s maid had brought for the princess. After seeing the cruel tantrik using such powers to get married to her, she poured the oil on the floors of the palace which turned into a rock that rolled towards the tantrik. The fort and town of Bhangarh was cursed to death and no rebirths, by the dying tantrik. Since then this palace has turned into a deserted place that is surrounded by the lush green gardens and the aravalli range of hills.

A research with the paranormal experts disclosed that there are some kinds of negative powers residing in the fort. No tourist is allowed to stay in the premises after sunset and before sunrise. It is believed that anyone who stays back in the fort never returns the next morning.
