#9 Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
This was the movie from where Rani gained recognition and overnight popularity. She played the role of a supporting actress in the movie where the main lead was her cousin, Kajol. For me, this is one of the best Rani Mukerji movies that I love to watch. She was paired with Abhishek Bachchan. The duo played the role of cons who are arrested by Dashrath. The film is romantic comedy and you will certainly feel for the duo.
One of the most influential movies of Rani Mukerji has to be this one. The movie was released around the same time when Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra married. In Mardaani, we saw Rani donning an avatar that we had not seen before. She played the role of cop who is trying to find her adopted daughter but finds herself dealing with human traffickers.

#1 No One Killed Jessica
Based on the Jessica Lal murder case, No One Killed Jessica saw two finest actresses of Bollywood sharing the screen. The role of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal was played by Vidya Balan and Rani played the role of a news reporter. The movie was a commercial success and Rani won Filmfare award for Best Supporting actress.
One of the finest actresses of her time, we don’t see Rani Mukerji any more on big screens. As they say, life of a Bollywood actress is short. The industry has been taken over by younger talent such as Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez but every actor leaves his/her legacy. Rani has done the same. She has given us some of us the best Bollywood movies. While we anxiously wait for her comeback film, Hichki, we just hope to see her more in Bollywood.
