Game Of Thrones: Jon Snow

The wait was finally over for the Game of Thrones fans. The first episode called Red Women was aired on 24th April, 2016 on HBO. While it did solve some of the major questions which plagued us for 9 months, some major points still continue to baffle us. While everything else said and done, one fact is for sure the episode “shocks” us to bits. Here are some of the things that occur in the first episode of much awaited season 6.

#1 Yes, Jon Snow is dead

However we might hate to admit it, for the time being our beloved Jon Snow is dead. Well we might know nothing like Jon Snow. Who knows what is to happen in the coming season, but in the first episode David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have made sure to keep him surely dead with a capital D. Specially Ser Davos’ expression proved it that even he is too shocked to believe that Jon Snow is dead. Sigh!

#2 Sansa gets back her senses and is saved by none other than Brienne of Tarth

While Ramsay is sulking from his biggest lost, and while his best men and hounds are chasing Sansa and Theon aka Reek, Sansa and Theon are running for their lives in a bid to save themselves. Theon sensing that Sansa’s life might be in danger, he tries to protect her and face the men send by Ramsay, but they capture him and get hold of Sansa. Brienne comes to their rescue and kills all the men Ramsay had sent. She again propses to protect Sansa till her last breath and to our great relief,Sansa accepts it.

#3 Its Cersie and Jaime up against the world now

Cersie’s walk of shame had a deep and nasty impact on her, with the mountain swearing to take revenge on all those who wronged her. In episode 1 season 6, her suffering continues as Jaime returns from Dorne with their daughter Myrcella in a casket. Cersie loved Myrcella immensely for her kindness and her nature which was so unlike her. Now together they plan to punish and take revenge, something which Lannisters are expert at. Mean while Margery continues to suffer under the High sparrows.

#5 Tyrion has no idea what to do in Meereen

After helplessly watching Daenerys being attacked and later carried away by her fierce dragon, he is now the de facto ruler of Meereen. Apart from destroying the Sons of the Harpy, he has no idea what to do. However on seeing rebels torching a whole harbor of ships, it would be interesting to see his cunning plans thereafter.

#6 Daenerys’ reunion with Dothrakis went berserk

Having captured Daenerys, the present Khal plans to make her his sex slave. But on knowing that she was the wife of Khal Drogo, he spares her and instead tells her that from hence forth as a widow of Khal she would have to serve at the temples of horse barbarian capital Vaes Dothrak. Not great news for Daenerys.
