The best thing about Young-Adult (YA) books getting adapted into movies or TV series is that it gives a visual to our imagination. In addition, if a book has been already popular there are more chances that the show will be accepted by the fans. Currently, a lot of popular teen fiction novels got adapted and which were already a huge success.
