There are many Hindi movies which were very successful at the box office and much loved by the audiences. Despite being the recipient of several awards, these movies leave us pondering how would it have been had they ended in a different manner. A small part of our heart yearns for a happier ending to these stories. These seven films we wish had a different ending.

#1 Aashiqui 2
Aashiqui 2 is one of our favourite romantic movies but somehow we could not come to terms with Aditya committing suicide in the end. It would have been more justified as a romantic movie, had he won over his addiction to alcohol and married Shraddha.

#2 Haider
Inspite of being a critically acclaimed film, Haider disheartens the audiences with too many death scenes. Although some of them were essential and very emotional to watch, what was not acceptable was the death of the actress Shraddha Kapoor. Had she survived and lived with the lead character happily ever after it would have made for a perfect ending of Haider.

#3 Highway
Highway had brilliant performances by actors Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda. But the ending strongly needed to be a happy one as we would have liked it better to see Randeep Hooda being saved.

#4 Dhoom 3
Dhoom 3 could have had a better ending, had Aamir Khan managed to escape one last time from the police. But much to our disappointment he chose to commit suicide in the end.

#5 Ram Leela
Ram Leela showed the two lovers Ranvir Singh and Deepika Padukone killing each other which was definitely heart breaking. In fact the audience would have been happier had they got together and that would also have given society a better message by showing two fighting clans patching up.

#6 Kai Po Che
Kai Po Che was a great film no doubt, but it also disheartened the audiences with the death of one of the lead characters in the end. The movie would have had a perfect happy ending if all the three friends were shown living happily by becoming successful in their respective fields.

#7 New York
Both the hero and the heroine, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif die in the end leaving their son in the custody of Neil Nitin Mukesh who was eventually responsible for their death. We just wished it was different.
