Bangalore, the Garden City, is all-in-all amazing in it’s own way. There are great places to explore and the exploration creates a vibrant image about everything in your mind. Metro and the bus rides, flamboyant cars, shaandaar hotels, multi-lingual people, the traffic-packed roads, busy commercial shopping streets, mouth-watering South Indian food shops along the road, people with office id cards around their neck, cool coffee shops at stone throw distances, elegant malls and not to forget, the pleasant atmosphere throughout the day. But Bangalore Art Cafes beat them all!
From the day I popped up in Bangalore, I have been roaming about hunting down a few cafes to chill with my peeps. And after all the crazy hunting & a lot of food tasting, I was able to shortlist some crazy art cafes in Bangalore:
#1 Table Blue @ Indiranagar
Do you know what to do when you feel blue? Go to Table Blue.
One of the bluest Bangalore art Cafes, the name Table Blue isn’t just a name. The furniture out there are all blue in color. The menu is pretty basic & comprises of soups, salads, pastas, yummy starters and wine.
Don’t shy away to experiment, there is a lot on the menu that is a must try. The best conversation starter is the Chicken Breast with creamy Mushroom Salad, tried and tested!
#2 Art Blend Cafe @ HSR Layout
It is one of the coziest places to eat in Bangalore. This cafe has a quiet ambiance that’ll calm you down. You feel at home having art enhancing the walls.
Let me tell you! there is one segregated corner entirely for you to explore your creative side whatsoever.
Sizzlers & Chicken Brest sandwich are the finger licking signature dishes of the house. From a local cuisine to a continental meal, you will find everything on the menu. Conversations flow to an undemanding beat. One of my favorites.
#3 Cafe 42 @ Indiranagar
Bangalore art cafes are concentrated in Indiranagar! How about an arty-crafty one?
A cafe having bean bags and furniture both, to give a homely feeling. A rooftop cafe with an exorbitant casket of books. There are poetry lines written on the blackboard walls in conjunction with posters and artwork. This cafe hosts several poetry sessions & jam sessions, all pertaining to art. Mind it, these poetry sessions are not boring at all. It’s more on the fun side.
Take my advice, drop in on a rainy day and you’ll be delighted none the less! I am sure of it.
#4 Desserted @ opp. Mount Carmel College
Ever been Desserted?
This cafe will pull you in with the heavenly aroma of it’s brownies leaving your mouth watering & tummy rolling. This place is so inviting, having an art room where paintings are displayed and sold. The mood varies from the young corporates working nearby to students from Mount Carmel College. Caramel Pudding, a must try.
#5 Coffee on Canvas @ Koremangala
Ever had a coffee stain on your dress? How does it look ?
Horrible, RIGHT? Plus, it is so difficult to get rid of it.
But, how about a coffee stain on a canvas? Ever thought of this?
If you’ll go by me, I’ll say, it looks BEAUTIFUL. Each table in this cafe is adorned with art work. The atmosphere is peaceful with a pleasant staff & the ambiance is very soothing.
#6 Woodstok @ Indiranagar
Want to see a Victorian house? Drop in at Woodstok.
It is a Victorian style house which has been made into a restaurant for people to enjoy a meal. This cafe is purely dedicated to the music of 1960s. Every single room is themed differently and decorated beautifully. Your tastebuds are bound to tickle. It’s a real paradise for a foodie. Reason i am saying this, because I am a foodie myself!
#7 Cafe Buzzinga @ Whitefield
Do you know who is Sheldon Cooper?
Those of you who have no clue about him, my suggestion to you, please start watching The Big Bang Theory! Those of you who know him, must have realized by now, what I am trying to put across. This cafe has posters adorned on the wall from popular American sitcoms, specifically of Sheldon Cooper. Cafe Buzzinga is sure to elevate your mood.
