Potato Chips

In our current fast moving world and with all of us being so busy all the time, not many people have the time or patience to cook elaborately tasty food. We want something that will take less time to prepare but still taste delicious. While we try and avoid potatoes, it is still one of our favorite vegetables and we just can’t avoid yummy potato dishes. Here are 8 of my favourite potato recipes that you can whip up easily:

#1 Crispy Potato Stacks

This is probably the easiest way to make potatoes. Remember, if you don’t have any ingredient, or can’t find it in stores near you, then you can always substitute with what you have at home.

8 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 smashed garlic
1 1/2 pounds potatoes
3-4 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh thyme or coriander
Salt and pepper

#2 Baked Potato Pizza

Feel like having pizza but you don’t have all-purpose flour or can’t wait for it to ferment? Try this potato pizza and satisfy your cravings.

2 russet (or any) potatoes
½ cup marinara or tomato sauce
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12-15 pepperoni or chicken (or any meat of your choice) slices
2 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper

#3 Hash Potato Balls

Party or your favorite cricket match? These potato balls will be an instant hit.

300 grams frozen french fries
5 slices bacon (or any meat of your choice) cut into 5 mm pieces.
70 grams canned corn
1 tablespoon chopped parsley or coriander
50 grams cheese
2 tablespoon potato starch
Salt and Pepper

#4 Cheesy Lemon Pepper Fries

Add zing to your regular boring fries.

3 potatoes
2-3 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
zest of 1 lemon (reserve lemon slices for serving)
2 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt and chopped parsley

#5 Hasselback Potatoes

Extremely simple recipe; you can make this dish anytime at home.

2 medium sized potatoes
2 strips of bacon
2 slices of cheese
4 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoon anchovy sauce
2 tablespoon parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon minced garlic
Parsley and rosemary

#6 Stuffed Mashed Potato Balls

Cheese inside a potato? Yes please! This is a classic dish that everyone’s heard of but never tried it. It’s simple and fun to make.

4 cups leftover/cold mashed potatoes
1/2 cup sliced green onions
3/4 cup chopped cooked meat
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs
cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
1 cup flour
1 cup bread crumbs
oil for frying
