When we think of debutante ball we think of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice or Mansfield Park. The term surely takes us back in time to the Victorian era when young women made their first entry in the society as a woman through such Debutantes.
Le Bal des Débutantes (Debutantes Ball) is the hottest social party held annually in Paris, France. The event is also known as le Bal. It is held every year in November and brings together 20 – 25 girls from various countries. It raises money for charity and also celebrates the french way of life. The invite-only event has been in existence since 1992 and so far 7 ladies from India have attended the prestigious ball. This year Chunkey Pandey’s daughter, Ananya Pandey and Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur are all set to debut at the prestigious ball.

Princess Adishree Singh was the first Indian to participate in Le Bal des Débutantes in 2009. She belongs to the royal family of Jammu and Kashmir. Her dress was designed by Ritu Beri.
