In today’s technologically advanced world, it has become increasingly difficult to find time for ourselves. We are either constantly rushing through everything or feeling pressed for time. I feel like these two feelings never go away, one of them is always there which in turn makes us stressed. To avoid the stress we are building upon ourselves we need some ‘Me time’ for yourself every day. Finding this little time for ourselves is rapidly becoming a lost art and we need to gain it back. Here is why you need some solitude (keep in mind, I am not talking about loneliness) in your life.
#1 It improves concentration and enhances productivity
When we feel either of the feelings I mentioned above we tend to get distracted by the things that are still pending. We are then not able to prioritise or do anything perfectly. When we set aside those distractions, we will be able to concentrate on the important things and on how to do them perfectly!
#2 You will learn more about yourself
What we really need is to know ourselves completely. If we don’t know ourselves then who does? If you are busy you won’t ever be able to find time to dwell on yourself. Only when you make time for yourself will you be able to think about what are your strengths and weaknesses. This will help you in your life so that you can undertake endeavors which you can properly fulfill.
#3 Explore what all you can really do
What do we normally do? Get up and go to our respective places of work. It is just like going through the daily motions without actually putting some thought in it. Set aside some time for yourself, ponder over what you really want to do, think about how you can do it and then do it. If you don’t give yourself time, you won’t even be able to take the first step.
#4 Can work through problems
When you don’t have a million things distracting you then you can think about your problems from multiple perspectives and come up with an optimal solution.
