Some of us are in-born makeup junkie and some of us apply makeup in dire situation. Whichever category you fall into, the common factor is that you just hate removing makeup. It is a tedious task but removing makeup is important. Never sleep with your makeup as this could lead to skin problems and clog your pours.
The market is flooded with makeup removers but you may never be sure which one to buy. There are also reservations if the product will suit the particular skin type. These natural and home-made makeup removers are gentle on the skin and can be made using low-cost grocery items.
Honey is naturally antibacterial and a natural antioxidant. Its soothing and moisturizing properties helps to open the pores and also helps to lighten scars and blemishes. Honey works well as a makeup cleanser but is a little harsh for eye makeup. Mix honey with your favorite oil to get a balmy texture. Evenly apply the mixture on your face and leave it on few seconds. Wash your face with cold water. You will have clean and moisturized skin.
You may also add a pinch of baking soda, cinnamon and turmeric to your balm.
#2 Olive Oil
Olive oil is good for your health as well as for your skin. It is rich in Vitamin A and E, and has fats that helps moisturize your skin. The oil will not clog your pores and will slow down the ageing process. Olive oil is suitable for people with dry or sensitive skin.
Dab a cotton pad or cotton ball in extra virgin olive oil and apply it evenly, gently rub your skin and rinse it later with lukewarm water. You may also mix castor and olive oil together.
Milk is a natural cleanser. It has the unique ability to remove the oil soluble impurities with the help of some fat soluble enzymes and dead skin cells with lactic acid. It works best on dry and sensitive skin and we don’t recommend people with oily skin to use it. Milk also helps to lighten the skin by shedding the pigmented skin cells as well as works as an Anti ageing agent.
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly is the best solution to remove that heavy makeup. Though it is not recommended to use vaseline to remove face makeup but it can do wonders when it come to removing eye makeup. Take a cotton pad and apply vaseline with fingers on the pad. Gently rub cotton on your skin. Now take a clean a cotton pad and remove the excess oil. Wash your face with cold water.
